Genevieve Whetstone Obituary
October 30, 1926 - June 28, 2025
Genevieve Dickey Whetstone, known as "Gee Gee," passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28th, at age 98. Born in Arkansas in 1926, she lived a life of dedication to church and service. She worked at the Pentagon during WWII, where she met and married her husband, Douglas Murphy Whetstone, a Marine. Gee Gee used her accounting skills at several organizations including Whetstone Upholstery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas, sister, Anna Jane Dickey, and daughter, Janet Marie Whetstone. She will be missed by her daughter, Cynthia A. Doran, and grandsons, Joseph D. Doran (wife, Melissa Doran) and F. Nolan Doran. Service at Dale Memorial. Contact Bliley's.
