George "Chris" Jones

JONES, George "Chris", son of George W. Jones and the late Ruth Crowell, was born on December 4, 1968 in Richmond, Virginia. After fighting a good fight, he departed this life on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his wife, Angela "Nicole" Jones (Floyd, Virginia); children, Raeshaun Jones (Richmond, Virginia), Raschad Jones (Richmond, Virginia) and Kioko Tate-Harris (Richmond, Virginia); father, George W. Jones (Richmond, Virginia); sisters, Lajoi Jones (Richmond, Virginia), Syreeta (Crystal) Edmonds (Columbus, Georgia) and Julia "Pinky" Brown (Buford, Georgia); brothers, Dante Jones (Richmond, Virginia) and Anthony (Yolanda) G. Jones Sr.; stepchildren, Victoria Womack (Roanoke Virginia), Adrienne Womack (Fort Worth, Texas) and Blake Hairston (Floyd, Virginia); step grandchildren, L.J. Redd and Roial Brown (Roanoke, Virginia); aunts, Dorothy Crowell and Joyce (George) Bright; uncles, James Crowell, Garland M. Jones and Michael T. Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Little River Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Clinton Crump, Rev. Jerome Barnes, Rev. Walter Lawson and Rev. James Clayborn officiating. Interment will follow in the Little River Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel.
