Gerard Lachance Obituary

Gerard Lachance

April 17, 1939 - April 17, 2025

Gerard "Gerry" Lachance, 86, of Hooksett, N.H., passed away peacefully on his birthday, April 17, 2025. Born in Woonsocket, R.I., Gerry was a graduate of Providence College and spent over two decades as the General Manager of a residential property management firm before retiring in 2001.

Gerry called Hooksett home, where he built a life filled with humor and warmth. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 39 years, Sybil Koehler Lachance; and leaves behind three children, Lisa Boynton, Steve Lachance, Brenda Lachance Owens; and two stepsons, Michael Koehler and Jeffrey Koehler. He is also survived by his brother, Johnny; and his sister, Maddy; as well as his stepsister, Teresa; and eight grandchildren.

A man of many passions, Gerry was known for his quick wit, spirited personality, and the ability to light up a room with laughter. He was a passionate jokester, a lover of music and movies, and a lifelong sports enthusiast who rarely missed a New England Patriots game. In his younger years, he enjoyed snow skiing, and in later years, could often be found golfing or even testing his luck at the casinos.

Gerry loved the snow, the state of New Hampshire, and his Boston Cremes from Dunkin' Donuts. He was gregarious and complex, and lived life with intensity and passion. He never turned down a game of Yahtzee and never missed a chance to tell a good joke.

Above all, Gerry loved his family. His legacy will live on in the laughter he inspired, the memories he created, and the love he so freely gave.
