Geroline JENKINS Obituary

JENKINS, Geroline Jane Harding, 90, of Highland Springs, passed away January 7, 2012, after a two month illness. She retired from Philip Morris, Research and Development Department, after 22 years of service. She was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church and Highland Springs Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rader W. Jenkins Sr.; and granddaughter, Cherie Jenkins. She is survived by three sons, Rader W. Jenkins Jr., of Palm Bay, Florida, Charles Edward Jenkins (Pat), of Sandston and Dennis Keith Jenkins (Betty Jo), of Powhatan; daughter-in-law, Betty Jenkins, of Petersburg; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, January 9, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, where a service will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Bridge Baptist Church, 5701 Elko Road, Sandston, Va. 23150 or Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad, 5301 Huntsman Road, Sandston, Va. 23150.
