Glen LeRoy Shivel III

Glen LeRoy Shivel III, M.D, 61, of Richmond, passed away Friday, June 23, 2006. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., he was the son of the late Colonel Glen LeRoy Shivel Jr. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Angell Shivel; two sons, Glen L. Shivel IV and his wife, Julie, of Kennebunkport, Maine and Fred D. Shivel and his wife, Christy of Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren, Quinn and Elly Shivel; his mother, Jean Paschal Shivel of Williamsburg; one sister, Jan Shivel of Mouthshire, Great Britain; one brother, Gary Shivel of Barcelona, Spain; and his extended animal family, Chester and Rita. Dr. Shivel was a graduate of the University of Richmond and MCV Medical School. He was a retired radiologist with Radiology Assoc. of Richmond. Dr. Shivel was a past president of the Richmond Radiological Society. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 29 at First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
