Gloria Brooks Obituary
Gloria Ann Brooks, aged 102, of Richmond, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 16, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. Matthew L. Brooks Sr.; daughter, Jo Ellen Bergeman; grandchildren, Jackie Fox and Joe Fox.
Gloria is survived by four children, Julie Fox, Matt Brooks (Denise), Liz Warden (Roger), and Jamie LaRou (Patrick); eight grandchildren, Brian Bergeman, Kim Bergeman Sosa, Jeffrey Brooks, Abby Brooks, Matthew Warden, Gregory Warden, Brooks LaRou, and Alex LaRou; and one great-granddaughter, Katelyn Sosa.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., March 12, 2026, at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr., North Chesterfield, Va. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Chapters Health Hospice, https://www.chaptershealth.org/locations/chapters-health-hospice-richmond-va/ or mail to 10330 Staples Mill Rd. STE 204, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
