Goldie Saunders Obituary

SAUNDERS, Goldie Mae, 70, departed this life on November 20, 2007. She is survived by her loving brothers and their wives, William E. and Millie, Henry M. and Dulcy, Charles Phillip and Angel, Allen W. "Ben" and Lucille, Joseph F. and Jane. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Susan, Joe, Mary Beth, John, Mark, Chris, Phyllis, Allen, Bernard, Debbie and Connie. Goldie loved and was loved in return by many children, but especially by Sarah, Anna, Connor and Kyle. She retired from Wachovia Bank. Goldie was an active member of Village Presbyterian Church and a longtime volunteer for the FISH Organization. The family will receive friends in the Nelsen Funeral Home's Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with burial at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to VAWB, Burkeville Lodge for the Blind, 4222 Bonnie Bank Rd., Suite 203, Richmond, Va. 23234, or Village Presbyterian Church. 110 N. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23223.
