Gregory Brown Obituary

Gregory Brown "Greg", of Richmond, Va., departed this life January 23, 2005. He is survived by three sons, Shaquille, Jaden, Khalee Brown; one daughter, Khalysia Brown; mother, Donnette Brown; father, Warren Waddy; two brothers, Warren Jr. and Kelly Brown; two sisters, Yvonne and Doris Brown; a loving and devoted girlfriend, Shantih S. Carignan; grandparents, Leslie Brown Sr., Robert and Maple Waddy; nine uncles, nine aunts, five great-uncles, three great-aunts, one great-great-aunt, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; two devoted friends, Jeremy Carignan and Ryan Edwards. His remains rest at the Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home, 518 N. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va., where his funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday. Interment family cemetery. McCarthy, director.

Dear Shantih, {Teetles}, to my best friend,and sister i can only say i am here for you. We have been through so much together but nothing could prepare neither one of us for this. Tee girl i love you so much i wish god could give me some type of way to take the pain away from you,the children and gregs family ,but i dont have the answer ,but i can tell you from the bottom of my heart that it gets easier over time. We dont know why these things happen to such good people but through my years of life I've always been told that god only selects the best to be his angles.And i know he defently has the best with greg. Tee baby hold on to god he will get you and and the children through. Teetles i am not able to be there because of promblems that you are aware of but each and every moment i am awake you and those children are in my mind and hearts and each and evey time i cry i cry for you and the babies. i am here and you know that you will always have me no matter how many miles seperate us right now i am that strength that you feel deep down inside telling you to keep fighting for those babies and yourself. I am fighting right along beside you. i am there. My last words are, right now look into god for he carried me through the summer and he is carring you now. Just listen and follow for he will guide you through this and with him your family and the friends that love you so much you will get through this.Teetles no matter what i am here for you NO MATTER WHAT. My Heart goes out to the family I did not know all of Greg's Kids but Shaquille is my nephew and we are very close so when he found out his dad had passed away I felt his pain and I kept on saying to myself what can I do to take his pain away and I kept on asking him Shaquille is there anything I can do, and he looked at me and said auntie I just want my dad back. I wish I can take away your pain but it's going to take time I been praying for you and the rest of the family to give you all strengh and I will continue to keep you all in my prayers and if you need anything I'm only a phone call away .
