Gregory Lowe Obituary

Gregory Kim Lowe, born November 4, 1953, passed away at his home surrounded by family on August 13, 2025.

Greg was known for his sense of humor. He always brought laughter to any situation. He loved Michigan football, NASCAR and most of all, his family.

Greg was a fighter especially the past 28 years. He survived a massive heart attack, heart transplant, and massive stroke. He loved life to the fullest, determined to make the best of his situation and make memories with his family whom he loved dearly. This included his wife Martha Lowe, eight daughters Mishele Witte (Scott), Kim Roberson (Bruce), Gayle McGahan (Ryan), Liz Powers (Matt), Monique Paxton (Kevin), Amanda Shupe (Eric), Ceandra Berry (Kippy), Scottie Morgan (Tyler), four step children Brandi Ferguson (Brian), Jessica Rhoades (Robert), Christopher Weirup (Chrissy), Stephen Weirup (Katalyna), brother Pat Lowe (Karen) and sister in law Dolly Lowe, 21 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his two dogs.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lowe, mother, Jacqueline Lowe, brothers, Gordy and Mike Lowe, nephew Donny Lowe, and niece Carey Lowe-Morrison. We find comfort knowing he has been reunited with them all.

The family will have a Celebration of Life in the coming weeks to honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MCV Foundation Cardiac Transplant Fund. https://give.vcu.edu/campaigns/61954/donations/new.

I am so sorry for all of you, grieving is difficult when one has been so very loved.
While I only met him a few times, there was always joy on his face. Praying that the God that comforts - will draw all of you close. Love and Prayers

I was saddened to read about the passing of such a good man. Greg and his family lived next door to my parents, Jack and Anne Clements, in Brandy Creek. He was a great friend to them and kept an eye on them. Greg always had a smile or a laugh to offer. He was such a good person. I'm truly sorry I lost touch with him. I will pray for your family and for God to comfort you during this time. God bless you all.
