Helen Britt Cliborne

1939 - 2023

Cliborne, Helen Britt of Midlothian, VA and longtime resident of Nags Head, NC died peacefully on August 3, 2023. Mrs. Cliborne was born on November 30, 1939 in Wilson, NC to the late Texine Lee and Elliott Worth Britt. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cabell Howard Cliborne, Jr. Mrs. Cliborne is survived by a son Kevin and his wife Travers and their children Elliott and Sara; a daughter Cathy and her children Patrick and Davis and his wife Bailey.

Helen was active in her community, a member of Redeemer Episcopal Church, a servant at St. Andrews By-the-Sea of Nags Head as a member of the altar guild, vestry and senior warden. She also served as a committee member at the diocesan level. She graduated fromJohnston-Willis School of Nursing in 1960.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, August 18 at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Midlothian, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Operation Smile at operationsmile.org or The Outer Banks Relief Foundation at 103 E 8th St, Nags Head, NC 27959
