Helen Johnson Obituary
January 4, 2025
Johnson, Helen Gouldin, 96, of Richmond, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 4, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace R. Johnson, Sr.; parents, Helen Brown and William Gouldin; and sister, Frances Limeberry. She is survived by her daughter, Linda J. Crostic (Allen); son, Wallace R. Johnson, Jr. (Jackie); and grandchildren, Allen W. Crostic, Jr. (Melissa) and Tabatha C. Mansfield (Cory). She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Rigali; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Helen will always be remembered for her unwavering faith in Jesus, her strong work ethic, and her sacrificial love for her family and friends. She was a dedicated employee at JCPenney for 20 years. She was a prayer warrior, breast cancer survivor, an active member of Elkhardt Baptist Church, and world's best "Nanny" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 10, at 11 a.m., at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd, with a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Reception (Bliley's) and Interment, Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd, to follow.
