Helen Marie Leneave

1929 - 2022

LENEAVE, Helen Marie, 92, of Amelia, Va., was peacefully called home to our Lord on Friday, March 11, 2022. Born June 24, 1929, Helen was an honest and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, William Leneave Sr.; children, Dorothy Smith (Lewis), William Leneave Jr. (the late Vicky), Daniel Leneave, Wayne Leneave and Robert Leneave; granddaughters that she raised, Shannon Brown (Daniel), Amber Barton (Robert) and Hailey M. Leneave; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Helen was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and loved to sing of his word. She humbly served as the 2008 Amelia County Christmas Mother and dedicated many years supporting this program. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17 at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m., Friday, March 18 at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 6200 Courthouse Rd. followed by a burial at the church's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Amelia County Christmas Mother's Program.
