Irene George Obituary


Irene Williams George, 83 of Atlanta, passed away peacefully in her home November 10, 2013.  Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, November 15 at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel with The Reverend Gary Christensen officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. prior to the 2 P.M. service.  Mrs. George retired from Southern Bell after 34 years.  Preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. George, Sr. and is survived by her children: Cheryl D. George of Chamblee, Elaine Saulter of Lake Butler, Fla., Louis A. George, Jr. (Stephanie), Debra G. Erwin (Robert) of Dunwoody, and James D. (Danny) George (Addie) of Sandy Springs; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; sister-in-law Judy Williams and many nieces and nephews.   In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution, in loving memory of Irene, to Cross and Crown Lutheran Church, 4276 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd., Atlanta, GA. 30341.
