Iva Woodfin Obituary

WOODFIN Iva Ford Woodfin, 94, of Midlothian, formerly of New Canton, died peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Meade P. Woodfin; and son, Donald P. Woodfin. She is survived by a son, Lennie Earl Woodfin and wife, Betty of Mechanicsville; a daughter, Agnes Woodfin Mathews and husband, Richard of Midlothian; five grandchildren, Gregory S. Woodfin Sr. and wife, Dale, Melody Woodfin Harris and husband, Frank, all of Mechanicsville, Michael P. Mathews and wife, Connie, Mark F. Mathews and wife, Karlin of Midlothian and Susan Mathews Sinkiewicy and husband, Lee of Chesterfield; 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Mildred Ford Heizer of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Ford of Cumberland and Malvin G. Ford of Florida. Her remains rest at Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, where the family will receive friends Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. and where services will be held Monday, October 23, at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in New Canton, Va.
