Dear Danny & Zella and the Shoosmith Family,

Jerry and I would like to express our deepest sympathy. We only met Jack and Nina once and that was at Chris and Stephanie's wedding. We both know how hard it is to lose a parent, especially a dad. Treasure the memories and keep them close to your heart, they will help you get you through this time of grief.

To the family: I was so sorry to learn of Jack's passing. What a terrible loss. As like many other people, I was one that was touched by his generosity and kindness to others. He gave me my first job when I graduated. He gave me a chance and I've been moving up ever since. I will truly miss him but will never forget him.

May God be with you and the family. You were certainly blessed.

I knew Mr. Shoosmith from when I was a little boy seeing him around Chester, but it wasn't till the last presidential election I gained a deeper respect for him as he feebly made his way to vote at the old Carver Middle School with the help of his son and daughter-in-law and I knew then he loved his country enough to put aside his illness to make it there that day. We will miss him and his patriotism

The Faris family sends its heartfelt condolences to Jack's family. My dad Tom was the first to insist Jack be put on a tractor, and I think Jack has always appreciated it. Their friendship has lasted their entire lives. My dad passed away peacefully two days before Jack, so I'm sure they'll continue to tell old stories to and about each other for eternity.

Thank you Jack for all you've done for us. God bless you and your family.

Jack was always a friend to the police department when I employed there in the late 70's and 80's.

He was truly a county son and always had Chesterfield first in his toughts and deeds. My thoughts are with you Nina and his children.

It's been a long hard road. God Bless.

I first met Jack Shoosmith when I was employed at Brock's Bar-B-Que. When he came in, I said "Hi, Mr. Shoosmith". His reply was, I'm just Jack. That was the kind of man he was - just plain Jack. I was always impressed with him and admired him. My condolences to his family. He will surely be missed.
