James Johns Obituary

JOHNS, James "Jimmy" Eldridge, Jr., 54, of Aylett, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. He is the son of the late James Eldridge Johns Sr. and Barbara Jean Herndon Johns. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Kimberly Johns; daughters, Farrah Carter and Heather Johns (Travis); son, Jimmy Johns (Kelly); seven grandchildren, Cam, Jayden, Peyton, Kadence, Rahyn, Kenslee and Maddox; sisters, Teresa Tate (Ricky) and Jennifer McKinnley (Jack). Jimmy will be remembered by his family as an amazing husband, great father and an awesome Papa. His other interests besides his family included fishing, hunting, old cars, restoring furniture and always being a hard worker. The family will receive friends at Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., in Mechanicsville, on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 6 to 9 p.m. His funeral ceremony will be on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Lynn officiating. Final rest will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
