Jane Elizabeth Morris Morgan, 77, of Hartfield went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
A lifelong resident of Virginia, she is a daughter of Frank Morris and Ethel Ayers Morris and is also preceded in death by her former husband, Edgar Leland Morgan, Jr.; brother, James "Jimmy" Morris and a sister, Barbara Walton. Jane is survived by her son, Matthew Morgan (Jane Belz-Morgan); daughter, Rebecca Morgan; grandchildren, Andie Belz and Emma Morgan; sister, Catherine Crump; special niece, Jennifer Frederick and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jane was born in Richmond and was considered a friend to all. She enjoyed the company of her furry friend, "Pippin". Jane was a devout and faithful servant of God and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home – Chesterfield Chapel, 14301 Ashbrook Parkway, Chesterfield, VA 23832. Her funeral ceremony will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor John Snow officiating. Final rest will conclude at Dale Memorial Park at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad at https://mcvrs.life/donations.html.
