From my heart, I would first like to extend my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Jean Diamond and may God especially comfort her "girls" during this difficult time.
I loved Aunt Jean! She was so loving to my family, like a mother to me and my daughter Ciara, a very close and dear friend to my Aunt Ann and (her twin) my late mother Annette since they were all 5 years old, and also their parents and my late grandparents, John and Selena Clay. Aunt Jean was a caring woman, she loved everyone, and was a blessing to all who knew her. I will be forever grateful to God for her and will miss her immensely. She´s been a significant presence my entire life of 60 years, attending milestones like my wedding, my college graduation, never missing a holiday or birthday for me or my daughter, and visiting us (in VA) when she was able. I learned so many valuable lessons from her, I admired her greatly, and I will carry her in my heart for the rest of my life. I will especially miss her beautiful voice and our long phone conversations. She often thanked me for teaching her how to text, and I´m so glad because we have texted each other every Sunday over the last eight years after relocating to CA, with me unknowingly receiving her last text just six days prior to her passing. Aunt Jean was a God-fearing woman, a shining example of how to exemplify the fruits of the spirit, who not only talked the talk, but she walked the walk-having a true servants heart and choosing to never stop serving Jesus. Dear beautiful, amazing, and wonderful Aunt Jean, I know you are resting with our Lord and Savior in Heaven, so I will end by saying what you always said to me: "I will love you always and forever, bye-bye for now." I don´t have the words to express the warm, close, sister-like relationship we had for over 80 years. She was a wonderful friend and I loved her dearly.
