Jean Kranitzky Obituary

KRANITZKY, Jean Hall, 82, of Richmond, was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2007, after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyndon and Vivian Hall; her brother, James; her sister, Glyndon; and her precious baby girl, Bonnie Lynn. She is survived by her loving husband, George; her children, George Jr., Debbie, Diane, Robin and Jeanie; as well as her grandchildren, Nelia, Jason, Daniel, Alicia, Erin, Adam, Ian and Jack; and many other relatives and friends. Besides caring and loving those closest to her, she was an avid gardener and tennis player in past years. The family will receive friends 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Bliley's - Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American SIDS Institute, 2480 Windy Hill Rd., Suite 380, Marietta, Ga. 30067. Her family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's Medical Intensive Care Unit and Tammy, her special guardian angel, for their loving care. Jean is reunited with her late family in Heaven and is now with God. She went in peace and will be missed beyond words. We love you, momma.

Dear Jeannie,
I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. What a sweet, gentle lady she was and a wonderful mom. She always made me feel like a part of the K. family when I would pj party at your house...and somehow always managed to get YOU up for mass-a real feat! I know how badly you and the rest of your family will miss her. I think of you all often but especially now.

George,
I am very sorry to read of the loss of your wife. That is such a great sadness. I didn't realize she played tennis, too.

Please know that I am thinking of you way down here in FL; and still playing tennis when I can.

Dear Uncle George, George, Debbie, Diane, Robin and Jeannie:
I was doing some on-line research and became aware of Aunt Jeannie's recent death. I have such fond memories of summers spent in Richmond with the family and how she so gracefully absorbed yet another child into the hustle and bustle of the household. While it has been a long time since we've been in touch, I do think of you all often. Please accept my deepest sympathies. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Lisa
