Jean Ann Newcomb Lacks, 82, of Blackstone, VA, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, surrounded by her family. She is predeceased in death by her parents, Prentiss L. and Isabell Daniel Newcomb; a sister, Margaret Grant; and a brother, Lynn Newcomb. Jean is survived by her husband of 64 years, Paul W. Lacks; a son, Michael (Carol) Lacks of Crewe; two daughters, Joyce (Sam) Mordan of Jetersville and Sandy Powers; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a brother, Charles (Grace) of Georgia.

The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Blackstone Chapel of the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA 23824. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Dundas Baptist Church, 3953 Dundas Rd., Dundas, VA 23938, with burial to follow in the Dundas Baptist Cemetery. www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
