John W. Cole, Jr.

February 14, 1942 - August 11, 2025

John W. Cole, Jr., 83, of Richmond, Va., passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born in Waverly, Va., he was a devoted husband, to Vera Cole for nearly 51 years; proud father, to Lisa (Fred) Williams, Summer Perez, and Courtney (David) Gregory; grandfather, to Morgan (Rick) Hughes, Cristen Hughes, Carleigh Perez, Paxton Gregory, and Josie Gregory; and great-grandfather to Chance Watkins and Maverick Hughes.

A dedicated Free Mason, Shriner, and member of the Acca Temple, John served his community with integrity. He worked 26 years at Noland Company before owning Carroll Plumbing and Heating for another 26 years, building a respected family business.

A celebration of life will be held at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
