I just learned of Jack's passing. I had the pleasure of 1st meeting Jack as an undergrad student doing an internship at the Richmond Commonwealth Attorney's office. Jack was a great mentor as I entered the legal practice. He was one of the kindest, most honest people I ever met. I will always have fond memories of Jack and am very sad to learn of his passing so young.

I saw this today in the W&M Alumni Magazine. I am saddened to see this. Jack and I played W&M Baseball 4 years and were Captains. He was good, humble ,positive and funny. Everyone admired and respected Jack.

Dear Bob and Stuart - I just watched the virtual service for Jack. Please accept my condolences. My first memories of Jack started at Berryman Methodist Church as children and then as young adults at George wythe and playing baseball or church softball. Jack will always be remembered as a fine man and a real gentleman. He will be missed, but he left a legacy that will long be remembered. God bless each of you and your families.

Jack was a wonderful and talented lawyer. We had many good times playing football together in the lawyers league as well as in the courtroom. I will miss him. He is a good friend.

My sincere condolences to Stuart (a classmate at George Wythe) and Bob in the loss of your brother, Jack. I am reminded of Emily Dickinson´s words about death, that it is "all we know of heaven and all we need of hell." I am sure this is true for you and be comforted in knowing Jack touched many lives in his lifetime and thus he will live on in the gifts he freely gave to so many. I am so sorry for your loss. Jack was a real role model for many. He was a competitor on the ball field and the Courtroom. He always was quick to ask about your family and he had a genuine interest in helping others. Jack will long be remembered for his principles and the way he led his life.

Bob & Stuart, I'm so sorry for your loss. Jack was such a wonderful person and a great brother to the both of you. He will be missed by so many people who's lives were touched by him. I can just see him rejoined with his mother and the big smiles on their faces. Know that I'm praying for your family.

I´ve known Jack since 5th grade and although we only saw each other infrequently over the last few years, I miss him already. He was a constant quality person and the world is a little less bright without him. My condolences, Bob and Stuart.

I knew Jack, and his brothers, since grade school (as early as 4th grade, Patrick Henry E.S., teacher - Miss Robinson who lived for baseball). From my memory, everyone loved Jack, always smiling, witty, smart, but private even until his last days, not disclosing his illness but apparently to only a very few.
He was a fine person who loved justice. A good, thoughtful person to his many friends and to others. What more can you say that matters? I wish I could be there. I will miss him. My condolences to his brothers and family.

Jack was one of the finest, most decent men to walk the Earth. It was a privilege to call him my friend. He stuck by you despite yourself and taught us all grace. This is such a tremendous loss for his family and friends. My condolences.
