John Grubbs Obituary

GRUBBS, John W., Jr., of Henrico, Va., went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on March 12, 2022. He was a devout Christian and a loving husband, father and Papa. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Virginia Grubbs Jenkins and John W. Grubbs Sr.; and a half brother, Tommy Grubbs. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Gaynell Musser Grubbs; his three daughters, Sandra Martin, Deborah Fielders (Roland), Amy-Elizabeth Babin (Jason); six grandchildren, Adam Martin (Val), Shawn Martin (Jess), Christian Babin, Heather Glatt (Mat), Noah Babin, Logan Fielders; one brother, Clarence Grubbs (Arlene); two half brothers, Mark and Brian Grubbs. John took joy each week volunteering at St. Mary's Hospital. The family will receive friends at Bliley's - Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Road, on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 12 p.m. Interment with a graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
