Back in the Golden Years while at TJ, when our rock `n roll band wanted to evolve to play rhythm and blues, we recruited "Big John" to play sax. It was a bit of a stretch for John to transition from Cadet Corps music to rhythm and blues, but John brought Gary, the trumpet player, along with him from the Cadet Corps Band, and together, featuring our singers, the Fantastics, we made it as an authentic R & B band! We never made "the Big Time," but we made good memories and had great fun.
So glad to learn that Big John was such a beloved family man and that he led a fruitful life. May the memory and example of service and other good things he accomplished during his life for his family and community continue to be a blessing and inspiration to your family for many years to come. -Jimmy Plotkin
