Carolyn....many years ago, when Ben played Little League BB for me, you & John were so supportive of our team & we all had so much fun rooting for Ben. Your husband was truly a very special husband, father & a wonderful role model for anyone who knew him. We are so sorry to lear of your husband's death.

I first met John in high school. He was a year ahead of me at Benedictine. He always had a twinkle in his eye and was one of the funniest people, I have ever met. It has been almost seventy years, since our meeting and I still tell John Lacy stories, not all of which could be repeated here.
From high school, our paths diverged, until we met again at Norfolk General Hospital. I was a medical intern and he was the sole dental intern on call. After that year, we went our separate but I had always hoped our paths would cross again. It is a source of sadness to me to learn, that they will not. My condolences to Carolyn and his children. Rest in peace, John. You fought the good fight, helping a lot of people along the way and entertaining many of the
rest of us.

Saddened to hear about Dr. Lacy. Like others have commented he was a huge asset to the community. Dr. Bowman was my dentist for years and apparently they were in dental school together. Each shared funny stories about the other and I figured the truth was somewhere in the middle. Prayers to the family
