John McAllister Obituary

John F. "Archie", "Mc" McAllister, 71, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 10, 2002. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara A. McAllister; daughters, Linda D. McAllister and Cathy A. Mitchell; son, Johnny F. McAllister; foster son, Ricky Lewis; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. McAllister was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired driver for Preston Trucking. After his retirement he operated Archie’s Produce on Jefferson Davis Hwy. The family will receive friends at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10), from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday. His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment Maury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058-5216 or the American Diabetes Foundation, 1290 Seminole Trail, Suite 2, Charlottesville, Va. 22901.
