John W. "Bill" Price Jr., 72, of Glen Allen, returned home on August 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his patient wife, Karen; parents, John and Estelle Price; and dogs, Tiger, Ginger and Germany. He is survived by his daughter, Kerry Price; stepchildren, Kelly Crockett and Jason Crockett; grandchildren, Lucas, Lucy, Scotty and Kinley; sister, Ellen Cole (Frank); nephews, James, John and Jesse; many loving friends and family; and his dogs, Zuzu and Stewie. Bill enjoyed several decades as an A/V Engineer with the International Mission Board, followed by several years as an Electronics Engineer with the U.S. Postal Service. He was devoted to Christ, both personally and professionally, throughout his life. Bill was an avid hiker, participating in numerous 10Ks and events, with his beloved canine companion by his side. In any remaining spare time, he could be found fearlessly exploring and inventing a variety of new hobbies and projects.
The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Bliley's-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where a service will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, August 15. Entombment to follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 11220 Nuckols Rd, Glen Allen. In lieu of flowers, please bring a favorite travel-themed sticker to his service to be placed upon his casket.
