Joseph Ruffin Obituary
Jody joined Ruffin & Payne, where he learned the business from bottom up. His focus became purchasing, a key factor in the success of the organization. He served as Chairman and retired as Chairman Emeritus in 2019.
Jody was an advocate of supporting the Richmond area community which supported him. To this end, Jody created the Ruffin Foundation in honor of his father. He had a variety of interests that included the Richmond Braves, the Robins ice hockey team and classical music. Jody was a member of the Commonwealth Club and the Richmond Rotary Club for over 40 years.
Jody is survived by his sister, Barbara Ruffin Cone (Robert T. C. Cone); nephew, Robert T. C. Cone Jr. (Angelyn); and niece, Nelly Cone McCarty.
The family thanks the Parsons healthcare nurses on the second and third floors and the Suncrest Hospice staff for the excellent care rendered to Jody.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 4, at 1 p.m. in Hollywood Cemetery.

Barbara and Family - was deeply saddened to read of Jody's passing. Always enjoyed speaking with him during SME meetings. I know how much you loved him and know that he carried your love daily. So very sorry for your loss, Barb.
