Joe White was my pastor at Pace Memorial when I was a child. He was a nice man, and I have fond memories of him. As a pastor's wife, I remember being in meetings with Joe and Virginia. I had such admiration for them. He will be missed.

Virginia, I send my deepest sympathy at Joe's passing. When I was a young minister in the Virginia Annual Conference, he took me under his wing and was very helpful and supportive to me many years ago. After a number of years on honorable location, I came back into the conference in 1998 and had the opportunity to preach at Westhampton Churh just prior to entering my new appointment. There, as he had been so many times in the past, was Joe to give me his good wishes, his prayers and his support. I thank God for his life and his ministry and I especially thank God for the life and love the two of you have shared for these 63 years. May God bless you.
