Joe White was my pastor at Pace Memorial when I was a child. He was a nice man, and I have fond memories of him. As a pastor's wife, I remember being in meetings with Joe and Virginia. I had such admiration for them. He will be missed.

Virginia, I send my deepest sympathy at Joe's passing. When I was a young minister in the Virginia Annual Conference, he took me under his wing and was very helpful and supportive to me many years ago. After a number of years on honorable location, I came back into the conference in 1998 and had the opportunity to preach at Westhampton Churh just prior to entering my new appointment.
