Josephine Lanasa Abbott

ABBOTT, Josephine Lanasa, 80, passed away on February 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, James N. Abbott; and her brother, Anthony Lanasa. Josie is survived by her children, James Abbott (Candice) and Ann Marie Massie (Douglas); her sister-in-law, Joyce Lanasa; her brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and Durenda Abbott; her grandchildren, Ella Massie, Henry Massie and Sachal Abbott; her nieces and nephews, Vincent Lanasa (Deborah), Teresa Lanasa, Michelle Luck (Mark), Chris Abbott (Brandy) and Nathan Abbott; her great-nieces and nephews, Nicholas Lanasa (Jessie), Kendall Bybee (Nick) and Nicole Stuck (Matt); and her great-great-nieces and nephews, Anthony Luck, Madison Luck, Jake Luck, Austin Stuck, Josie Bybee, Adrian Lanasa, Illyana Disbrow and Sophia Disbrow. A private Christian Wake service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, February 14, at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial for family and close friends will be celebrated 1 p.m. Monday, February 15, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 909 Rennie Ave. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 attendance restrictions, both services will be livestreamed - the links can be found on Josie's obituary at blileys.com.
