Joyce Evans Obituary

Joyce, 73, of Richmond, passed away on July 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Robinson and Goldie Burleigh; brother, Moses Carter. Surviving are two daughters, Tanisha Brown (Carl) and Janine Watkins (David); four grandchildren, Hassan, Leila, Jahari, and Justice; two great-grandchildren, Aleia and Tylik; two aunts, Meade McMullen and Pearl Branch (Lawrence); uncle, Charles Elam; devoted cousin, Cheryl McMullen; sister-in-law, Geraldine Carter; other relatives; and friends. Mrs. Evans was a retired teacher of the Richmond Public Schools. At her request, there will be no services.

Job well done my girl, job well done. You will be missed so, so much but your loving spirit will always be present. Thanks for being the light that you were. Nine, Nish and the babies have so much of you in them and your legacy will surely live on. I find peace in knowing that you're at peace and dancing in your mansion :) Rest peacefully Mama Joyce.
