Joyce Young Obituary
Departed this life November 28, 2025. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughters, Dr. Brandy Young-Gqamana (Dr. Putuma Gqamana) of Rochester, NY, and Alicia Griggs-Young; her niece, Chasitity Starks; granddaughter, Philani Gqamana; grandsons, Khayalam Gqamana and Kaiden Kearney; and a host of beloved cousins. She also leaves to honor her memory her bonus son Tony Tillery; her deeply devoted caregivers from Legacy Hospice; and her beloved pastor, Bishop Dexter Cannon.
Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Ms. Young can be viewed on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and where funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 1 p.m. Rev. Gina G. Whitaker, Officiating. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m., on Monday.
