To the Dere family,
I've known Mrs. Dere most of my adult life. Janet & I were blessed to have known her. We will miss her very much. She was a blessing to all.
Love,

To Juliet's family my deepest and sincere condolences.
I just want you to know how rich I am in spirit because of my time spent with Juliet.
I have been so blessed to have shared time with her if but for just a brief moment in the span of her 91 years.
And although I am not of the Jewish faith, the foundation of what I have learned from her and her family have grounded me and made me all the stronger in my walk with God.
- I will pass down to my grandaughter the meaning behind making Hamantashen filled with poppy seed and cherry filling...lightly brushed with egg.
- I will tell my grandaughter about the blessing recited on the etrog and lulav during Sukkoth
- I will not make krepla from scratch, but I will know from where it originated and the traditional holidays on which it is served.
- I will make matzo balls to go with my chicken soup
- I will make milky buns with spry and real butter.
- I will make gingerbread boys and share the story of Hanukah with my granddaughter. -- and honey cake, and brown rim cookies.
- I will remember reading the Megillah of Ester to Juliet during Purim.
- I will practice obedience to the Lord because I observed Juliet's obedience.
What an awesome example I was given. Thank you Juliet and family... You are my gift. I will miss you but I will remember you and love you for the rest of my life.

To Juliet’s family my deepest and sincerest condolences
I just want to say how richer I am in spirit because of my time spent with Juliet
I have been so blessed to have shared time with her if but for just a brief moment in the span of her 90+ years here.
And although I am not Jewish, the foundation of what I have learned of Jewish customs, tradition and obedience from her and her family have grounded me and made me all the stronger in my walk with God.
I am not a Jew but
• I will pass down to my granddaughter the meaning behind making Hamantaschen filled with poppy seed, and cherry filling and brushed with egg.
• I will be able to tell my granddaughter about the blessing recited on etrog and lulav during Sukkoth.
• I will not make krepla from scratch – but I will know from where it originated and the traditional holidays on which it was served.
• I will make matzo balls to go with my chicken soup.`
• I will make milky buns with spry and real butter.
• I will make gingerbread boys and share the story of Hanukah with my granddaughter.
• And honey cake at the New Year, and brown rim cookies.
• I will remember reading the Megillah of Ester to Juliet during Purim.
• I will practice obedience to the Lord because I observed Juliet’s obedience.
What an awesome example I was given.
I am so very grateful for Juliet and her family in my life.
I will miss her deeply but I will remember her and love her for the rest of my life.

Juliet, you have known me since I was a baby when we both lived on Stafford Ave. May you rest in peace in our home land.
