I had a crush on Lacy when we were in 5th grade. I remember him smiling and giving me a wave while he stood in the lunch line. I played it cool but my heart was doing flip flops. As we got older, I’d see him drive by my house in a Terminex truck with the big bug on top. Then later, he drove a pretty baby blue car. I gave him a ride home from school once and got my first speeding ticket. Was he to blame? Of course! I was so excited to be sitting so close to him I wasn’t paying attention. I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to talk to him at our 40th HS reunion. He has always held a special place in my memories. My sincere condolences to the family.
