Larry Wiley Obituary
March 24, 1948 - December 28, 2025
Larry Wiley, 77, passed away on December 28, 2025, at Chippenham Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.
He is survived by his sons, Jesse Wiley and Daniel Wiley (Kelly Scruggs); his brother, Kevin Wiley; and numerous loving family members and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Wiley; and his parents, Edward and Ruby Wiley.
Larry was a devoted and supportive father who maintained deep and meaningful bonds with his family and friends throughout his life. He graduated from Covington High School and earned his Bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Larry retired as a Transportation Analyst with Quality Transportation after many years of dedicated service.
Music was one of Larry's greatest joys. He was a talented musician and shared his love of music at events throughout Richmond as a proud member of "Stand Your Ground" and "The Bellevue Bontemps." Larry was a lifelong enthusiast of fitness and was committed to living a healthy and active life. He enjoyed running marathons and cycling, pursuits that reflected his discipline, perseverance, and love for life.
He will be deeply missed for his quiet kindness, strength, and generous spirit. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
Visitation will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10) and Memorial service will follow, starting at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Larry's name to The Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA 23220
