Latane T. Jenkins

JENKINS, Latane T., 92, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 10, 2021. He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Irma Rosalie Jenkins; daughter, Carol M. Jenkins; sisters, Shirley Garrett, Elsie Braithwaite (Will); brother, Joseph Jenkins (Chris); grandson, SGM (U.S. Army) Latane Ian Gilliam (Kim); granddaughters, Brooke G. Terrell (Mike), Taylor Anne Robb (Jose); great-granddaughter, Eleanor "Ella" Gilliam. Latane was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Noel and William Kermit Jenkins; daughter, Anne Jenkins Robb; brother, William Jenkins; sister, Marion Rothrock. Latane was a U.S. Navy veteran, member of Manchester Lodge #14 A.F. & A.M. a longtime member of the Richmond Association of Realtors, a founding member of God's Storehouse Baptist Church and the Deadshot Hunt Club. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., with a celebration of his life to begin at 5 p.m. Masonic rites will be held prior to Latane's Life Celebration and U.S. Navy Military Honors will be held following the service. Mr. Jenkins interment service will be held Friday, May 21 at 1 p.m. in Dale Memorial Park.
