Leslie Shelton Obituary

SHELTON, Leslie Dicken III, 64, of Jetersville, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 9, 2023. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Linda Beaver and Leslie Dickens Shelton Jr. He is survived by his sister, Rita Presser; daughter, Kelly Shelton (Tanner); son, Keith Shelton (Victoria); two granddaughters, Laurel Shelton, Aubree Griffith; two grandsons, Kayson Griffith, Jonah Shelton. In addition, he leaves behind a granddaughter on the way, Alyssa; and Linda Theuerkauf.

Les worked with Dominion Power for 27 years before retiring. Following retirement, he enjoyed fishing with his son, was an avid wildlife photographer and spending time with his grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. His funeral service will follow at 6 p.m.

I'm just gobsmacked right now. Les, Rita, Linda and Erik were my next door neighbors on Varann Road for quite a few years. Fly high Les, like the Eagles you so beautifully photographed for years. My thoughts and prayers are with Rita. Til we meet again my friend.
