January 5, 1936 - December 14, 2024
Lois Boelt Schalow, 88, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was the widow of Victor G. Schalow. Lois is survived by her daughter, Melanie Schalow Little (Mark); sons, Dale Burleigh Schalow (Gail), David Jonathan Schalow (Stacy); grandchildren, Alexander and Victoria Little, Evan, Tyler and Luke Schalow; great-grandchildren, Chase and Chance Little, Teddy Schalow and one on the way. Lois was embedded into the Powhatan Christmas Mother for over 50 years and loved it dearly. She valued all the relationships formed along the way. Her celebration of life was held 11 am Friday, December 20th, at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Powhatan Christmas Mother PO Box 461, Powhatan, VA 23139.

Lois was the sweetest and most organized lady that I ever knew.
I have worked with her at Christmas Mother headquarters for the past 22 years and know that she will be dearly missed.
Her shoes will be hard to fill.

I will always remember Lois with love and gratitude for her gracious spirit and generosity. She was good to my sister and I as children, taking the time to read to us and letting us enjoy toys, scooters and books from her childhood that we'd "discover" down in Clara and Mike's basement. Such good times! Heaven has a beautiful new Christmas angel! Until we see you again one day, love you Lois!
