Survived by and left to lovingly cherish his memory are his son Kenny Farina and his daughter Theresa Farina Sirles; his brother Joseph Farina (Cheramy); his sister Teresa Farina Wilson (Chic); his grandchildren Maya Sirles, Nicholas Sirles, and Justin Farina; his great-granddaughter Eden Farina; his nieces and nephews Ben Farina; Gabrielle Farina Parton (Tony); Casey Wilson (Lauren); Pepper Wilson (Brad) and Shannon Moffitt. Buzzy, as he was affectionately known, was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He graduated from St. Patrick's Catholic High School in 1965 and worked for Verizon until retirement. He proudly served as a Sargeant (Aircraft Crash Rescue and Firefighting Specialist) in the Air National Guard of Virginia and the Reserve of the United States Air Force until he was honorably discharged in 1981. He deeply loved his family, his friends, working outside, and being of service to others. Buzzy was always there as a source of help, strength, and wisdom to all who knew him. His sense of humor, character, and love impacted many lives and his legacy of strength endures as it lives on in every person blessed to know him. The family would like to extend a special thank you to extended family, friends, and the dedicated staff at Harmony Memory Care of Hanover and a Touch of Grace Hospice Care for the heartfelt and professional supportive services each person provided to Buzzy and his family.

Hi Dad. I love you and miss you so much, as you know. You changed the world in profound small ways . . .in every person you met. Thank you from all of us. The world feels empty without you. Love Boo Boo.

So sorry Theresa and Kenney. I can't believe this. Your Dad loved you two so very much. You can be assured of that as you process this loss. Love and prayers for all. Miss you.

I also was Baptized, Confirmed and attended St. Pat´s in the first four years. I retired from Verizon and was in the crash crew in the Naval Air reserve serving two years aboard the carrier Forrestal CVA 59. As a good Methodist I´ll be praying for the family. Miss my Catholic roots.

Dad, I have to be the first. You were the Dad you never had to be. You taught me your word is your bond. 15 minutes early is on time. Truth is the most important thing. Never leave your gas tank less than 2/3 full. Family is first. My heart is broken without you. But I am and will always be your baby girl. Most don't understand the profound connection we have. But you do. And I do. And that is all that matters. I slept next to your bed before you crossed over. And we had a deal. I see you in every sunrise, birdsong, full moon, etc. You are me and I am you. I love you. See you on the other side. Happy fishing! Boo Boo
