Louise Hagood Obituary

HAGOOD, Louise Davis, our mother, has ended her long journey with Alzheimer's Disease. Louise was born and grew up on Hull Street Road in Chesterfield County, Va., where she attended Manchester High School, Ramsey Memorial United Methodist Church, and worked for the Life Insurance Company of Virginia before moving to Florida in 1945. She was a longtime resident of Miami Springs and Miami Lakes, Fla. until she moved to North Carolina in 2002 to live near her daughter, where she passed away on Friday January 11, 2008. Louise was the eldest daughter of Arthur L. and Irene Koch Davis. She was predeceased in 1983 by her high school sweetheart and husband, James W.; her brother, Bernard W. Davis; and sister, Nettie Graves of Richmond, Va. She is survived by her four children; James W. Jr. (Patty), Richard A. (Laurie) all of Florida, Becki Hagood of North Carolina and Shirley Otten (Don) of Oregon; five grandsons, James C. Hagood, Brett J. Hagood, Christopher D. Otten, Corey J. Otten and Andrew S. Hagood; three great-grandchildren, Timothy Hagood, Shannon Hagood and Windley Paige Hagood; two daughters-in-law, Chris Gregory and Gloria B. Hagood; and one sister, Shirley Graham (Jim) of Powhatan, Va. Online condolences may be made to [email protected] or to www.apexfuneral.com.
