My Dad is the greatest man I have ever known, he is my life line. I never made a decision or accepted one that I didn’t pass by him first, including my husband Charlie that he loved dearly. He is not only my Dad, but my best friend. My memories are so rich with laughter and love. Dad loved every kid that walked through the door. His happiest times were when the house was full of family and friends playing music & singing even though most of us sang off key. He loved to camp, fish all night, play cards and bowl. Then there was Jason. He became the new light of Dad’s life. They had so much fun playing in the snow, hanging out, bowling together, working on cars and putting each others football team down. My cousins, they are like bothers & sisters to me. My Dad loved each one of them as though they were his own. There were many times our house was filled with kids my Dad helped raise. Recently I was asked how it felt to share my Dad. That’s funny; I never really thought much about it. I guess that is because he had enough love for all of us. Now I would have to say I’m glad I shared because I have all of you to lean on as my brothers & sisters. Each one of you was special to Dad & I thank you for all you did. I could never express the love he has for you, I won’t even try. He taught me many things, but the greatest thing he taught me was about love. He loved unconditionally. I think it’s because he learned from the Master. My Dad loved Jesus with all his heart & he followed his example in life. Because of that today is easier. I know that Dad now rejoices in heaven with my brother & all those that have gone before him. I will miss him greatly but Jesus promised because of him we would be together again. I hold on to that promise. One day we can all be together having the greatest time ever.
Yes my Dad, He is the greatest and always will be.
