Mabel Moody Obituary

MOODY, Mabel Pearson, age 98, of Valentines, Va., died Wednesday, June 13, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Moody. She is survived by two daughters, Mary M. Bray and Jean A. Moody of Valentines, Va.; five grandchildren, Edward M. Bray of Valentines, Va., Ronald N. Thigpen and wife, Karen, of Jacksonville, Fla., Jeannie T. Crank of Cary, N.C., Emilie Holland of Virginia Beach, Va., and JoAnn B. Wright of Albany, Ga.; five great-grandchildren, and six nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Va. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, Triplet, Va., with interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CMH Community Hospice, P.O. Box 90, South Hill, Va. 23970. Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, in charge of arrangements.
