Malcolm Moody Obituary
Malcolm attended John Marshall High School in Richmond, VA, and graduated in 2003. He continued his education at Virginia State University where he received his bachelor's in Human Services in 2008. He later went on to acquire his Master of Public Administration from North Carolina Central in 2013. While in college, he pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity which became a strong source of family, strength, and purpose for him.
In 2012, Malcolm established Key Independent Development Services, which allowed him to garner many awards and recognition over the next 11 years. He was proud of his most recent accomplishment, in May 2023, being appointed to Richmond's City Council Board, 7th District, in Richmond, VA. He loved his community and was overzealous about giving back, hence his plethora of connections.
He loved music, sports, gaming, parties; he was truly a big kid at heart. Malcolm was very passionate about helping the youth and impacting his community overall. This passion transferred into his family and his business. He never failed to lend a helping hand to those around him and beyond.
Malcolm is survived by nine siblings: Marvin Moody; Tynette Sims; Alvin Marshall; John Terrell (Bernadine); Alonzo Terrell (Annette); Cedric Terrell (Kim); Carol Williams Jr; Turqueya Vincent; and Titiana Hamilton (Wallace); several aunts and uncles; a host of nieces and nephews, and countless cousins that will always cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 14th, 2023 at the St. Paul's Baptist Church, 4247 Creighton Road, Richmond.
