Marshall Tucker

October 20, 1951 - January 12, 2025

On January 12, 2025, Marshall Delano Tucker, Sr., entered into eternal rest after a short illness. Born on October 20, 1951 to Mollie Ann Tucker and Thomas Lee Tucker, Marshall grew up on Chicago Avenue in Richmond, VA, with his brother, Marcellus "Pee Wee" Tucker, and his younger sister, Cheryl Tucker. Marshall graduated from Armstrong High School and attended Virginia Commonwealth University. Marshall and Brenda Lewis were joined in holy matrimony and out of that union, MaShawn and Marshall, Jr., were born. Marshall was known for his warm and generous spirit. He was a devoted father, grandfather, husband, mentor, and friend, as well as a cherished member of the Richmond community. He will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends on January 19, 2025, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Mimm's Funeral Home, located at 1827 Hull Street Road, Richmond VA 23224. A celebration of life will be held on January 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Saint Paul's Baptist Church, at 4247 Creighton Road, Richmond, VA 23223. Condolences may be sent to [email protected].

Brenda & Family, we cannot believe Marshall is no longer with us. Grateful for the time we were all together at the 2024 Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by Steve & MaShawn Never in a hundred years would we have thought we would not be in his company soon. We can still hear his voice getting emotional when stating the people in his life he was thankful for. Our prayers are with you all.

You were there with us from the beginning when we opened up the program in Hanover County and continued to support it through your illness.
