Marvin Wharton Obituary

WHARTON, Marvin "Mike", Jr., passed away on August 8, 2022. He was born on December 23, 1959. He was the son of Marvin and Frances Wharton. Mike was a mechanic by trade and was employed by Talley's Auto Services where he worked as a State Inspector. Mike was a lifelong resident of Hanover County.

Mike met and married the love of his life, Trudy Bilski. They celebrated 27 years of marriage last November. They have two sons, Matthew and Mark.

Mike loved the outdoors, especially being on his property in Old Church, Virginia. He enjoyed fishing in their pond, hunting for Civil War artifacts, arrow heads and racing his Chevelle.

In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his aunt, Polly; and uncle, John Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Trudy (Bilski) Wharton; and his sons, Matthew and Mark Wharton. A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Saint Paul's Catholic Church. The family will receive visitors from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Funeral arrangements were made by Richmond Coach & Cremation Services, Inc. Online condolences and memories can be shared at their website. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Talley 's Auto Service Inc. Love and prayers to Trudi Mathew and Mark Mike was an awsome guy. He loved his job. Did it with excellence always on time Hanging out with the guys at work,getting the job done.. every body loved Mike, his laughter the love for his wife and sons a family man always there for them..He loved racing his car,he would go fishing sometimes on his lunch break, getting ready to greet the fish and enjoy the quiet...Mike enjoyed the news, he would say let's see what's happening today....Being around Mike like our other employees, Russ,Rena The Boss'es, Bruce,Joey Grayson,Christina, Little Brody...He had that Love and Compassion for his job and the people around him.As the week came to an end, we would say to each other in conversation what are we doing the weekend We would say to MIKE ITS FRIDAY NIGHT. DATE NIGHT WITH YOUR BEAUTIFUL WIFE he would say AWW maybe so snd just grin... Mike you will truly be missed, Russ my husband thought the world of you and your family. This is so very hard, all if us at Talley's Auto Service are so heart broken,we have lost an excellent employee, always willing to lend a helping hand, always Courteous and polite, Mike told pride in his job as our STATE INSPECTOR,every body liked Mike, he was just an all around NICE guy, loved his wife Trudi his son's Mathew and Mark.He loved his family, Mike was a wonderful and dear friend, he would eat lunch with the guys, mostly Russ and Grsyson,loved his corn dogs. And let us tell you MIKE WAS THE CHOCOLATE KING!! Let's go over to the market and get a candy bar, he would come back and just grin....Then on other days let's go to the bakery,oh boy he would come back with whole box of donuts, just as happy as he could be....Love to the family, we have our employees, they are all family, they work hard to make us the best!! Mike your picture will be in our office so you can keep an eye on us if we all of a sudden get a giggle or laugh we know your there.....Trudi and Mathew and Mark we are here for you.. Mike was such a dear friend. A loving heart, There will always be a special place in all our hearts Talley's Employees and your customers and friends..You left a lasting impression your Loyalty dedication You're humor and you're laughter..We all will miss you Mike Talley's Auto Service Inc........
