Mary Coleman Obituary

Mrs. Mary E. Lewis Coleman, 94 years old, daughter of the late Lou Collier and Wilbert Lewis, departed this life on Sunday, January 1, 2006 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, Va., after a brief stay. She was born August 16, 1911 in Brunswick County, Va., where she spent her life and was educated and raised her ten children. At an early age, Mary was baptized and became a member of Saint James Episcopal Church in Warfield, Va. and remained a member until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, six children and four grandchildren. Mary leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Mary of Baltimore, Md., Rose of Blackstone, Va., Virginia of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Shirley of Blackstone, Va.; 35 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 1 p.m. from Saint James Episcopal Church, Warfield, Va., with interment in the Coleman Family Cemetery, Blackstone, Va. Brown's Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
