Matthew Sydnor Obituary

Matthew Allen Sydnor, age 16, of Crewe, Va., passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2005. He is survived by his mother, Sherri Sydnor; and father, Brian Sydnor; sister, Michelle Sydnor; grandparents, Bill and Sue Mayo of Crewe and Al and Elaine Sydnor of Crewe; aunt, Phyllis Konrath; and numerous friends. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, November 27, at Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home, Crewe. Interment will follow at Crewe Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, November 26, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Nottoway Emergency Squad or the local fire departments.

I knew Matthew by the fact the we rode the same bus. We used to allways laugh and joke and just have fun. He made the bus ride worth it. Just hearing his jokes and the way he talks made my bus rides fun. I will miss Matt and im sure all his friends and family will too.

Matthew was such a great person, he was my stepbrother for almost 7 years. I thought of him as a real brother and I miss him alot. I dont know why but it always seems that god takes the best of us. I can remember so many times when I wuz down and Matt made me happy no matter how mad or sad I was. Ill never forget the one time that me and Matt were at the house by ourselves and I was really mad at something and he just came in there and threw shaving cream all over me we ended up getting into a big lotion, shaving cream fight! We wrecked the whole house, after we were done it took us forever to clean it up but we didnt care because we had fun while we were doing it. I will never forget Matt, RIP Matthew Allen Sydnor!!!

Matthew was a great guy, I can never remember a dull moment around him, he seemed to make the whole room laugh till there sides ached. It isen't fair what happened to him, such a short life for such a wonderful guy. Even though physically he is gone.. spirtually he isen't his jokes, words, and laughs will be around forever. To his family I wish you the best and to know you aren't alone, help will always be there. I pray for you and Matthew and his friends.. I know i will surely miss him!

I never really got to get to know Matthew as well as Tony and them, but when I got to hang out with Matthew, there never was a dull moment. He alway's made me laugh. The fondest memory I have of Matt was the day he, Bubba, and myself threw rotten tomatoes and cantalopes all over Tonys car while he was at work. And I will never forget the day Matt, myself, Tony, Ross and the rest of the guys met up at Adams grave and we must have sat around for about a hour and a half just laughin at Matt. He kept us laughin even when we did'nt want to. And one night, at Tonys house, we were all sittin around and Matt took a fire cracker and lit it and tossed it over Adams head onto Rosses lap. Ross got so angry but could'nt do anything because of how hard Matt had everyone laughin. It's times like these that I am going to miss and am already missin with Matt out of my classes. Without Matt and Adam, the funny just seems to have been jerked out of our lives, but we move on, and have to be thankful for everyone who's still here. To the Sydnor family, I am deeply saddened by the loss of Matt, I will miss him, and just as I was getting to know him, he left. But he's gone home now I reckon'. We love him and think of him everyday. if you ever need any help with anything, you know you all can call one of the boys and they will be there for you.

There are no words that can express how sorry I am. Matthew touched our lives and our hearts and he will be missed very much, thought of often, and remembered always. Matthew leaves behind alot of friends.... Tony, Bubba, Justin, Danielle, Heather, Emily, Michelle, Ross.... the list goes on and on..... I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

i am so sorry i was matthew latest girlfriend and i pray every night for the family and friends of Matthew i miss him and i will always remember the memories that we shared togeather. Even though i did not get to know his family as well as others, my heart still goes out to them
