HUNTER, Maya K., 23, of Glen Allen, peacefully entered eternal rest January 12, 2022. She was born September 17, 1998 in Henrico to her loving parents, Kevin Hunter and Terese Hunter. Maya was a faithful member of Saint Paul's Baptist Church in Richmond. She was employed as a carrier for FOS Transportation. Left to cherish and celebrate her life are her loving parents, Kevin Hunter and Terese Hunter; devoted second mother, LaWanda Hunter; dedicated brothers, Kevin "Hanif" Hunter and Deshawn Wells; adoring grandparents, Alvin and Shirley Hunter and James and Carolyn Benton; a host of extended family and friends who will miss her immensely. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022. A walk-through visitation will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. A Celebration of Life Service in Maya's honor will be held 12 noon Friday, January 21, 2022, at Speaking Spirit Ministries, 4205 Ravenwood Road, Richmond. Pastor Frederick Wyatt officiating. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens.
