I would like to give my condolences to you all. I played football with Brim at Va. Union, I remember one time during my freshmen year the Defensive Line Coach Richard Macon had the whole defense running "THE HILL" over at Maggie Walker after practice. Brim would always find the energy to kept everyone motivated by yelling out,"IT'S HARD TO BE A PANTHER,BABY!" That's the kind of person he was, a great leader and motivator.

My deepest and heartfelt condolences go out to the Brim family. I had the pleasure of meeting Brim two years ago and was looking forward to seeing him at the jazz festival this year. We had talked about it often and I hadn't seen him since I moved. I feel like I knew him more than two years. He crowned me with the nickname O'Dub which was so funny.

I was telling Malik the other day how Brim used to change his diapers when he was a baby and take him shopping for school clothes. He said that Brim bought the kids to his football game at Lee-Davis last year and was like "wow, look how tall you've gotten!" I know he will be deeply missed by those who loved him. I remember seeing you both on your wedding day and how happy you both were. I've thought of you often. Stay strong and know that you are missed and loved as well.
